‘Parental alienation’ is not a term Northumberland County Council would use therefore we do not hold any specific policies or training for this

Please provide copies of your policies and procedures that address onward referrals of cases that involve emotional abuse to children

As you are not clear about who onward referrals would be made to then it is not possible to answer this.

Northumberland County Council comply with the LSCB policies and procedures  in relation to abuse and neglect including the thresholds document and  assessment of need. These are based on statute and Working Together to  safeguard children 2015.

Policies and procedures are available on the LSCB website relating to referrals.

There is multi agency training provided through the LSCB includes training  on emotional abuse and the effects and we would encourage all frontline workers to attend this as required.

Please provide copies of your policies and procedures that address  onward referrals of cases that involve emotional abuse to children – you asked for clarification to whom you would make onward referrals?

Some examples of possible onward referrals would include Children’s Social  Services, Police, CAMHS, and/or the child’s GP  Onward referrals would be based upon the assessed level of need of the  child(ren).  Policies and procedures are available on the LSCB website relating to referrals.
